Obamacare is the real 'war on women'

In the 2012 election, Democrats consistently and unabashedly accused Republicans of waging a “war on women,” chiefly because Republicans think it's unfair for Americans to pay for women's contraception and abortions, especially when many oppose both.
Obamacare is making it obvious the “war on women” created a civil war, pitting women of faith against women such as Sandra Fluke and Cecile Richards of Planned Parenthood, who demand Americans subsidize birth control and abortions via the “contraception mandate.”
The health plans on the Obamacare exchanges all contain the mandated “essential services” that include both birth control and even more controversial drugs such as Ella and Plan B. Even worse, the exchanges that opened Oct. 1 will put millions of Americans in the position of effectively subsidizing elective abortion coverage, even as they categorically oppose it. Many of these plans will charge enrollees a minimum of $1 extra a month that pays into an abortion slush fund. The regulations also conceal the existence of this “abortion surcharge” until the moment of enrollment.
Younger Americans are being hammered. The Manhattan Institute analyzed the Health and Human Services numbers and found that under Obamacare, younger men will pay at least 97 percent more for health insurance and younger women will pay an average of 55 to 62 percent more. Without younger, healthier individuals signing up for Obamacare to subsidize older, unhealthier Americans, the system collapses.
While some Americans will not enroll because they cannot afford Obamacare and will be hit with the tax for non-compliance, others may lose their health insurance. How many women are losing their insurance?
Part-time workers are having their hours cut so employers avoid the employer mandate that says anyone who works more than 30 hours a week must get health insurance. So far, three Iowa counties and four Iowa school districts have cut hours or outsourced jobs to avoid the penalty.
For senior women who are on Medicare, they are going to find fewer doctors and health care providers accept it.
If you want to read about the real-life consequences of Obamacare, spend some time on the Matt Walsh blog site.
The next time you hear there is a “war on women,” remember that Obamacare is undermining not just women's health care and families' economic well-being, but everyone's religious liberty, as well.
