Experience is an asset to the City Council

Patrick Loeffler 57, a west side, Cedar Rapids resident is announcing his re-election campaign for the Cedar Rapids City Council at-large position.
Loeffler is a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids. Son of the late Walter and Velma Loeffler of Cedar Rapids. Patrick has been married to Kimberly (High) Loeffler for over 34 years. They have three grown children; Brianne, Alyssa, and Jordan, including five grandchildren, Payton, Presley, Anniston, Drevyn and Ozias.
Loeffler attended St. Jude’s School and graduated from LaSalle High School in 1984. Loeffler attend Waldorf College and Kirkwood College graduating with a degree in Law Enforcement/ Criminology in 1987.
For the past four years, Loeffler has proudly served the city of Cedar Rapids, as one of two at-large council members. For over 25 years, Loeffler has been a proud member of Carpenters’ Local 308. He has held numerous positions with the local including recording secretary, vice president and trustee. Loeffler worked for Carpenters’ Local 308, as a business agent and the president of the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City Building Trades Council and president of the United Labor Alliance. Loeffler also has been co-chair for the Master Facilities Oversight Planning Committee for the Cedar Rapids school board, a board member for IowaWORKS Regional Workforce Development (appointed by Gov. Terry Branstad) trustee for Carpenters’ Apprenticeship and Health and Welfare Fund.
Loeffler says “As a life long Cedar Rapids resident, having children and grandchildren in Cedar Rapids, I feel the experiences I have faced in my business, personal life and city council at-large position, allow me to support and work well with the rest of the City Council. We’ve been able to keep things going in the direction that the residents of Cedar Rapids want. I have become a great asset to the city of Cedar Rapids. I have had many opportunities to move away, but my love and passion for Cedar Rapids has driven me to provide for more opportunities for the future of this Great City.” Loeffler is committed to the growth of Cedar Rapids, improving the quality of the Cedar Rapids community and making sure our children and grandchildren have open doors and opportunities.
Because of Loeffler’s dedication and productive history of getting things done, Loeffler has had the support from local leaders and legislators representing Cedar Rapids and surrounding communities.
Loeffler and his wife Kymm are also small business owners of Corner Store Apothecary & Wellness, located in the Heart of the Czech Village on the southwest side of Cedar Rapids.
Patrick Loeffler is a candidate for an at-large seat on the Cedar Rapids City Council.
