I am choosing to run for Linn County Supervisor so that I can maintain working with the community where I live, work, and play as well as allowing me to bring my experience and a commitment to serving the people to the forefront of local governance.
I believe the wealth of experience I have gained at the Statehouse as both a state representative, and senator, in combination with the relationships I have built during that time will benefit all of the communities within Supervisor District 3.
I have consistently advocated for the interests and well-being of my constituents. My dedication to transparency, fiscal responsibility, and community engagement are my unwavering commitment to making a positive impact at the local level for the people of Linn County
I have a track record of accomplishments in the legislature — including the local government committee, as ranking member and leadership roles on the labor committee, as well as the Health and Human Service budget. Those leadership roles in combination with my advocacy for people as their representative in both the House and Senate, demonstrates my ability to work across the aisle to enact meaningful change. I have also consistently placed the needs and concerns of my constituents at the forefront of all policy decisions.
I want to emphasize my commitment to addressing the pressing issues facing Linn County, including infrastructure-roads and bridges, economic development, education, public safety, public health. I believe my experience in local government will help in making informed decisions and enact policies that will benefit all of the residents of Linn County.
My dedication to this community is steadfast. My constituents, old and new, will always come before politics. I will continue to remain active in the community by being involved in events, and forums, as well as doing constituent work every day.
Please join me in this new campaign for Linn County Supervisor, I look forward to continuing my service to the people of Marion and parts of Cedar Rapids, and adding the communities of Bertram, Mount Vernon, Springville, Lisbon, Prairieburg, Center Point, Central City, Cogg on, Alburnett, Troy Mills, Walker, Palo, Robins, Waubeek, Whittier, Lafayette, Toddville, and Paris.
I thank you for your support as your state representative and as your state senator — and I look forward to your continued support as I work to become your new Linn County Supervisor.
