Wilson Avenue Interstate 380 on ramp to close
CEDAR RAPIDS - The Wilson Avenue SW northbound on-ramp to Interstate 380 will be closed for an undetermined amount of time beginning at 7 p.m. Friday.
Traffic will be detoured to I-380 southbound to the 33rd Avenue SW exit and back onto I-380 heading northbound from 33rd.
The closure is tied to work on the I-380 northbound bridge over 15th and 16th avenues. That work is scheduled to be finished in October.
'With the bridge being so close to the on ramp, it would not be safe for traffic to get on I-380 northbound directly from Wilson Avenue,” according to the Iowa Department of Transportation.
