Tyler Olson announces endorsements in Cedar Rapids City Council race

CEDAR RAPIDS - At-large Cedar Rapids City Council candidate Tyler Olson announced a handful of endorsements on Thursday.
Those backing Olson include City Council member Ralph Russell, who holds the at-large seat and is not seeking re-election; Council members Scott Olson - who is Tyler Olson's uncle and a candidate for mayor - and Ann Poe; and Linn County Supervisor Ben Rogers.
Democratic state leaders have come out in support as well, including Sen. Wally Horn, Sen. Rob Hogg, Rep. Kirsten Running-Marquardt, Rep. Liz Bennett, Rep. Art Staed and Rep. Todd Taylor. Labor union supporters include Hawkeye Labor Council; Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Building Trades; International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 405; Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 125; and Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union Local 110.
Other local residents backing Olson include Tom and Kathleen Aller, Karl Cassell, Jack and Nancy Evans, Jeremiah and Jenny Junker,
Bill and Mary Lou McCartan, Doug and Jen Neumann, Al Pierson and Linda Seger.
