Three Good Neighbor meetings to be held this month
N/A
Jul. 12, 2011 2:58 pm
The City of North Liberty will host three Good Neighbor meetings within the next few weeks. All three meetings will be held at City Hall located at 3 Quail Creek Circle in North Liberty. The City may soon consider rezoning and subdivision plats for property in various areas, and the public is invited to open house-style meetings being held to explain the proposals.
The first meeting will be held July 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The property is the northerly part of Lot 2, Prizler's First Addition, on the north side of West Penn Street west of Dubuque Street. The rezoning and subdivision being considered would allow the development of multi-family buildings on the rear of the property that would all access Copeland Lane, and two single-family homes fronting on West Penn Street.
The second Good Neighbor meeting will be held July 28 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The property is Lot 3 of Liberty Medical and Commerce Subdivision, south of West Penn Street on Cameron Drive. The rezoning being considered would allow the development of multi-family buildings and commercial building(s) on the property that would all access Cameron Drive.
The third meeting will also take place on July 28, but the meeting starts at 6:00 p.m. and ends at 6:30 p.m. The property is near the end of the private drive Club House Road, north of Forevergreen Road and west of Highway 965.The rezoning being considered would allow the development of multi-family buildings on the property.
A PDF version of these memos, including location maps are available at Notice of Good Neighbor Meetings July 27 and 28.
These good neighbor meetings are being held to explain the potential rezoning and subdivision being considered by the owner and to gather any comments. No Planning Commission or City Council action has been taken, but is anticipated within the next several months. Note that these meetings are intended to notify the public early in the process and to help the developer understand neighborhood concerns. Other formal public meetings will be held by the Planning Commission and City Council if the development applications proceed.
Please feel free to drop into the good neighbor meetings any time within the period shown above. There will not be a formal meeting or presentation; instead, city staff and the developer will be available for informal open-house discussions with maps and information regarding the proposal.
For more information, please contact Dean Wheatley, City Planner at
dwheatley@ci.north-liberty.ia.us. Copies of the above PDF are being sent to property owners within 200 feet of the proposed developments.
