Some Cedar Rapids traffic signals coming down

CEDAR RAPIDS - The traffic signal at 34th Street SE and Cottage Grove Avenue SE is coming down as the intersection transitions to an all-way stop.
The traffic signal was turned off Friday and the intersection is to have a red flash operation for the next several weeks before the signal is fully removed, according to Cedar Rapids officials.
A similar transition is occurring at the intersection of Center Point Road NE and J Avenue NE. The signal, which has been operated as a red flash only the past several weeks, was being removed on Friday. The intersection is transitioning to an all-way stop.
