Residential demolition notification

The City of Cedar Rapids continues to demolish residential and commercial structures that were severely damaged in the Flood of 2008.
A demolition contract was recently awarded to Kelly Demolition for $538,806.25 to demolish 75 residential structures during the following time period: March 26 – June 8, 2012. The exact timing of these demolitions will be determined by availability of equipment and weather conditions. These demolitions will be funded by Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds.
