CEDAR RAPIDS - The public is invited to an open house on the metropolitan area's passenger transportation plan.
To gather input on the plan, the Corridor Metropolitan Planning Organization will host an open house from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 7 at the Cedar Rapids Ground Transportation Center, 450 First St.
According to a Tuesday news release, the plan aims to promote joint, coordinated passenger transportation planning programs that further the development of the local and regional public transportation systems.
Public input is sought to identify transit needs and opportunities for improvement in the city's local bus systems.
Residents also can share their comments in an online survey at surveymonkey.com/r/CRTransitSurvey2018.
