Possible gas odor forces evacuation, relocation of Cedar Rapids voting precinct
CEDAR RAPIDS - Per the Linn County Auditor's Office, a gas smell has forced evacuation of River of Life Ministries, 3801 Blairs Ferry Rd NE.
This is Cedar Rapids precinct 01.
'In compliance with a recommendation from MidAmerican Energy and out of an abundance of caution, the polling place will be moved” ... to Community of Christ Church, which is Cedar Rapids precinct 11 and is located at 1500 Blairs Ferry Rd NE.
Polls are open until 8 p.m.
On the ballot is Monica Vernon and Brad Hart for mayor of Cedar Rapids, and Justin Shields and Ashley Vanorny for the District 5 seat.
