Cedar Rapids Public Library gets the largest allocation at $4 million. That money will go toward construction of a new west side library.

Two major election rating outlets have changed their projections of the U.S. Senate race in Iowa, shifting their predictions slightly away from incumbent Republican Chuck Grassley.

Wolf Carbon Solutions, based in Denver, Colo., will hold a second round of informational meetings Dec. 5 and 6 in four Iowa counties -- Linn, Cedar, Clinton and Scott -- about the proposed 280-mile pipeline from ADM plants.

The council’s approval signals support for fully renovating City Park Pool, which residents have pushed back against because they want to preserve the character of the existing pool. The approval is not a binding decision, the city said. A design and public input process is slated to begin late next year.
