A former state public defender who had sex with a client has withdrawn her request to have her law license reinstated in the wake of objections raised by judges and prosecutors.
Dexter Merschbrock, who opposed the failed $220 million bond referendum, was defeated by a challenger.
Superintendent Tawana Grover said she has ‘no regrets’ about the $220 bond question, as it gave the district a chance to ‘reengage our community.’
The two top vote-getters were Molly Abraham and Lisa Williams, both with about 23%. Charlie Eastham and Mitchell Lingo both had about 21%. The next-highest was Micah Broekemeier with 5%.
