New clerk of court appointed for Linn and Jones counties
Trish Mehaffey Jan. 26, 2012 6:05 am
A new clerk of court for Linn and Jones counties was appointed Thursday, but she isn't a newcomer -- she's a 34-year veteran in the court system and the clerk's office.
Roxann Repstien, the trial court supervisor, replaces Sharon Modracek, who retired last week after serving as the clerk for more than 20 years.
The 6th Judicial District judges interviewed eight candidates Wednesday. More than 130 people applied for the job.
Chief Judge Patrick Grady didn't return a phone message left Thursday afternoon.
