Linn County takes steps to protect residents from fraud

The Linn County Recorder's Office announced today that its office has implemented Cott Systems Property Check to help protect Linn County residents from potential property and mortgage fraud. The service is a 24/7 service that allows residents to sign up on the county's website to receive email or text notifications if documents listing their name(s) are recorded in Linn County. The software is free to both Linn County and its residents.
Linn County residents can sign up for Cott Property Check alerts on the Linn County Recorder's website at www.linncountyrecorder.com
