Linn County risk manager honored by Public Risk Management Association

Linn County Risk Manager Steve Estenson has been selected as Public Risk Magazine Author of the Year by the Public Risk Management Association's editorial committee for his 2011 article “Recovering From a Natural Disaster: The Cedar River Flood.” He was chosen from among a pool of dozens of practitioner-writers.
In the October 2011 edition of Public Risk Magazine, Estenson shared his first-hand account of Linn County's response to the historic 2008 flood and detailed Linn County's ongoing work with FEMA three years after the flood. It's an insightful look at behind-the-scenes details of disaster recovery and rebuilding.
