Christian Fong, a 32-year-old businessman who wants to be Iowa's governor, has a New Hampshire connection.
Fong, son of a Chinese immigrant father and a Nebraska farm mother, graduated from high school in a small Iowa town and then from Creighton University in Omaha before getting a masters in business administration from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire.
He's among many who have announced their campaigns for the Republican nomination or are considering joining the race. Others include former Gov. Terry Branstad.
Fong says that with an MBA from Dartmouth, he could be anywhere in the world. But it's a sense of optimism that makes him run for Iowa governor.
