Iowa DOT to sell used computers and printers Nov. 16

The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) will sell used computer equipment Wednesday, Nov. 16, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the south end of the Materials laboratory at 800 Lincoln Way in Ames. Enter at the southwest door of the building.
Items to be sold include approximately:
- 200 IBM and HP Compaq desktop computers and towers for $20 each – 3.2 GHz clock speed, 40 GB hard drive, 1 GB RAM.
- 54 IBM T42, T43 and R50 laptops for $75 each – 2.0 GHz clock speed, 40 GB hard drive, 1 GB RAM.
- Seven Panasonic Toughbook laptops with no power supply for $50 each –1 GHz clock speed, 60 GB hard drive, 512 MB RAM.
- 30 small HP and Lexmark desktop printers for $10 or less each.
- Four HP Color LaserJet 5550 DTN printers for $100 each.
- Two HP 8150DN printers, one HP LaserJet 5SI printer and one HP 5000N printer for $50 or less each.
- Three monitors, no flat screens, for $5 or less each.
- Four HP scanners for $5 each.
Computers will be sold with no software. Monitors will be available to test equipment. Bring your own computer boot disc. All equipment sold as is. Payment is cash only.
