Nick Glew announced today that he has officially filed his nomination petition for Mayor of the City of Marion. Glew is the first candidate to publicly file his candidacy paperwork. He is also the only candidate to publicly declare his candidacy for the office of Mayor. Mr. Glew first announced that he would be seeking the position on July 1.
“The positive feedback from the Marion community has been extremely encouraging as we've worked to spread our message over the past two months,” says Glew. “I look forward to a positive campaign that highlights our successes and focuses on our challenges as we continue to move our city forward.”
Glew has developed a campaign foundation based on the following priorities:
•Community Development – Ensure increased investment in roads, continue the redevelopment of Marion's Central Corridor, remain focused on citizen initiated Imagine8 projects, and provide for recreational opportunities that a growing community demands.
•Economic Vitality – Cultivate public-private partnerships that establish a growing and thriving business environment.
•Fiscal Responsibility – Deliver the most efficient services with a focus on putting more money back in the pockets of tax payers.
•Community Engagement – Effectively engage and communicate with citizens.
