District 1 residents invited to host council conversations
City of Cedar Rapids
Jan. 9, 2012 12:45 pm
Cedar Rapids City Council Member Kris Gulick is organizing a series of Council Conversations especially for residents living in District 1. Mr. Gulick is asking interested residents to host a 60 to 90 minute informal meeting in their homes on one Saturday morning during the first quarter of 2012, preferably a Saturday between January 21 and April 14.
“I've been doing these Council Conversation meetings for the past five years and they are a great way to provide more information directly to citizens and get their feedback. If the District 1 residents will provide some warm coffee and invite their neighbors, I'll bring the pastries,” said Gulick. “These meetings will not replace my usual quarterly meetings, but provide a more informal setting to have conversations about our city.”
District 1 residents are invited to schedule a Council Conversation by calling Mr. Gulick at his home at 319-364-4219 or email him at
District 1 residents are also encouraged to sign up for Mr. Gulick's District 1 e-newsletter. Residents can subscribe by visiting the City's web site,
www.Cedar-Rapids.org, and clicking on the “Subscribe” link at the bottom of every web page.
