Corbett, Bruce to square off on Hawkeye Downs track
Cedar Rapids Mayor Ron Corbett and radio show host Bob Bruce will go around and around again.
Corbett and Bruce will compete in a 15-lap race at Hawkeye Downs Speedway on Friday, May 21. They'll be joined by Barry Boyer, president of Van Meter Industrial.
Corbett chats with Bruce on the “Bob Bruce Radio Experience” on WMT-AM 600 every Monday afternoon.
On Saturday, Corbett checked out a race car at a car show at Hawkeye Downs. Roy Parker of RacinginIowa.com sent us these photos.
