City of Cedar Rapids to observe Memorial Day holiday Monday

The City of Cedar Rapids will observe the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 28. Most City offices will be closed on that day. The following city services will continue to operate:

• Fire Department – Responding to emergencies
• Golf Courses – Ellis, Gardner, Jones and Twin Pines will be open until dark
• Joint Communications Center – Responding to emergencies
• Police Department – Responding to emergencies
• Water Pollution Control

The Solid Waste & Recycling Division

will not be collecting garbage, yard waste and recycling on Monday, May 28. Weekly collection routes will take place one day later.
