City Council meeting schedule changing in coming months

The Cedar Rapids City Council meeting times will change during the last four months of 2011. During September, October and November, all meetings will occur on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month and begin at 4:30 p.m. However in December, the meetings will occur on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 4:30 p.m. due to holidays. The specific dates and times are:
- Tuesday, September 13, at 4:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, September 27, at 4:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, October 11, at 4:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, October 25, at 4:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, November 8, at 4:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, November 22, at 4:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, December 6, at 4:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, December 20, at 4:30 p.m.
All Tuesday City Council meetings are held in the new City Hall building at 101 1st Street SE, in the new City Council Chambers on the third floor. Due to construction inside the building, doors will open to the public 30 minutes prior to the start of each meeting. Attendees are encouraged to park in the downtown parking ramps or use metered parking on nearby streets.
