City collecting public input for new welcome sign along I-380
City of Cedar Rapids
Dec. 13, 2011 9:02 am
The City of Cedar Rapids invites area residents and visitors to complete an online survey to provide input on the development of a City welcome sign along I-380. The sign will be used to enhance the city's image and increase its visibility to interstate travelers.
The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. Users are provided an opportunity to rank signs from around the country and describe what they like best about those they rank highest. A link to the survey can be found under City Announcements on the City's home page, http://www.CityofCR.com.
In addition to the survey, City Council has appointed a task force to champion the project, and Kirkwood Community College students and instructors are also assisting in the planning process. Construction of the welcome sign is expected to begin in late spring 2012. For more information, please contact the Community Development Department at (319) 286-5041.
