Citizen diplomacy in Pakistan – Supervisor Rogers shares firsthand account

Linn County Supervisor Ben Rogers visited Pakistan in April as part of a 10-member U.S. State Department delegation.
The trip, fully funded by the State Department, was a citizen diplomacy effort to build relationships with members of foreign governments, network and forge positive relationships.
Supervisor Rogers' firsthand account of his trip, the Pakistanis he met and their opinions about the United States is the feature story in the July 2011 issue of the Iowa State Association of Counties' County News magazine.
