Cedar Rapids utility customer service changing hours

Effective Monday, July 11, 2011, the Cedar Rapids Utilities Customer Service Department will reduce its service hours by one hour. Previously, customer service was available from 7:30am-5:30pm. Starting today, Cedar Rapids Utilities Customer Service Department will be open from 7:30am-4:30pm. The reduction in service hours will mean more customer service representatives are available throughout the entire business day to better serve our customers.
Cedar Rapids Utilities Customer Service Department primarily answers questions about utility billing and starting or stopping utility services. Cedar Rapids Utility services include water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and the collection of garbage, recycling and yard waste.
