Cedar Rapids to remove portable toilets from flood areas

The 140 portable toilets set up in flooded neighborhoods will be removed by Dec. 31, the city announced today.
It's cost about $550,000 to provide this service since the flood of June 2008. The Federal Emergency Management Agency is paying the expense but only through the end of the year, city officials said.
