Cedar Rapids offers free bus rides on Election Day

CEDAR RAPIDS - The City of Cedar Rapids Transit will offer free bus rides on Election Day, Nov. 6. Buses will run regular hours, from 5:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. No proof of voter registration or destination is required to ride for free.
'We hope by providing this service to residents, it will help remove transportation as a barrier and allow those interested the ability to vote,” said Brad DeBrower, transit operations manager.
For routes, bus stops and to plan a specific route, visit cedar-rapids.org/transit.
Polling locations are open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. To find polling locations and more information about elections, visit linncounty.org/electionservices.
