Cedar Rapids library board reviewing new location options today
N/A
Dec. 31, 2009 7:03 am
In a matter of weeks, Cedar Rapids will know where the city's new downtown library will go.
This morning, the library's Board of Trustees will outline the four possible locations. Then next week, the board will make a formal recommendation to the city council.
All four locations are in the downtown area.
Both the board and the city council are eager to make a decision, since it will take a while to build or renovate.
The city's former main library was destroyed in the city's June 2008 flood.
