N/A
Aug. 24, 2010 2:26 pm
On Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 30 and 31, the City of Cedar Rapids will be performing safety inspections on the Second and Third Avenue bridges in downtown Cedar Rapids.
On-street monthly permit holders parking on the Second and Third Avenue bridges will be temporarily displaced while the bridge inspections are being performed. Displaced parkers are encouraged to use the following alternative parking locations:
- On-street monthly permit zones along First Street SE
- First Avenue bridge
- 5 Seasons parkade
- Fourth Avenue parkade
- Lots 7, 9, 10, 12 or 44
Displaced parkers can use their existing hang tag to access the alternative parking locations without additional charge. It is anticipated that on-street parkers will be able to resume parking on the Second and Third Avenue bridges on Wednesday, Sept. 1.
Questions about next week's temporary displacement can be directed to Cedar Rapids Parking at 319-365-PARK (7275) or
crparking@republicparking.com. A map of the downtown parking system can be found at
