Animal Control Officer Appreciation Week this week

The National Animal Control Association is celebrating its annual Animal Control Officer Appreciation Week. This ACO Appreciation Week was designed to promote and recognize the hard-working men and women of Animal Control that risk their lives and spend huge amounts of personnel resources, including time away from family and friends, while serving the public. Each year, ACO's spend thousands of hours protecting the welfare of helpless animals from injury, disease and starvation, while promoting public safety.
Show your appreciation for Cedar Rapids Animal Care & Control this week by stopping by the shelter to say “thank you”, lending a hand volunteering, or making a donation to help care for the many homeless animals rescued by our community's dedicated Animal Control Department.
