The Week 7 Iowa high school football schedule featured top-five battles in each of the biggest three classes.
In Class 3A, Harlan asserted its hold on the No. 1 ranking with a 42-7 win over No. 3 Adel ADM, the Tigers’ first loss.
Two teams tied for the No. 4 spot in this week’s Class 4A poll met in Indianola, where Carlisle created some separation from the home team with a 42-21 win.
In 5A, No. 4 Southeast Polk shut out fifth-ranked Cedar Rapids Prairie, 41-0.
