Mount Vernon’s record-setting QB Drew Adams left a legacy

MOUNT VERNON - Drew Adams starred at quarterback for the Mount Vernon football team from 2014 through last fall.
He excelled in the sport, breaking many school records. He holds Iowa's record for the most touchdown passes in a career, with 106.
He led the Mustangs to two appearances in the UNI-Dome in the playoffs.
After leaving his mark on Mount Vernon, Adams will to continue his career at Grand View University in the fall.
This video is one of a series created by high school students for the Smithsonian Institution's Museum on Main Street exhibit 'Hometown Teams: How Sports Shape America,” which will be on display at the First Street Community Center in Mount Vernon, starting Sunday and running through April 29.
