Luther holding prayer service for injured player

Luther College is conducting a prayer service for injured football player Chris Norton on Wednesday night at the school. Bondurant-Farrar High School, where Norton was a prep, will hold a simultaneous service.
Luther's prayer service will be in the Center for Faith and Life Recital Hall. Norton suffered a fractured neck and compressed spinal cord while making a hit during Luther's game last Saturday against Central.
He underwent three hours of surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., and has already regained some movement in his arms and feeling throughout his body.
