CEDAR RAPIDS - Senior quarterback Jack Wallace of Iowa City West has been named Player of the Year in Class 5A, District 6 football, it has been announced.
Scott Chandler and his assistants at Iowa City Liberty have been named the district’s Coaching Staff of the Year. The six head coaches in the district picked the entire all-district teams.
Wallace was phenomenal for West, completing 70.5 percent of his passes for 2,792 yards and 33 touchdowns to just four interceptions. He also rushed for 428 yards and eight more TDs.
