Johnny Lowdermilk:
6'2, 195 lbs, ATH (QB, OLB, SS)
Carrollton High School in Kensington, Ohio
1st Team All Ohio
John's father was former Ohio State Offensive Lineman Kirk Lowdermilk
Here were 5 my questions with John:
Q: What are you most excited about being a Hawkeye?
A: Getting the chance to play in the Big 10 with a great team that has great tradition, amazing fans, and hard working coaches.
Q: What are your goals for your freshman year at Iowa?
A: To make the travel team
Q: What players have you already built a bond with? Recruits/Current?
A: Ray Hamilton Hamilton is also a 2011 recruit out of Ohio.
Q: What was your reaction to the 13 Iowa players who were hospitalized?
A: Coach Doyle makes the guys work hard and he gets the most out of them as he can.
Q: Who do you most resemble your game after?
A: Tyler Sash
Lowdermilk wore #9 during his senior year of high school.
Lowdermilk will likely end up as a SS given his size but is listed as an Athlete. He excites me as one of those players that Iowa recruited late, but will have a chip on his shoulder as he wasn't highly recruited from other Big Ten schools, including Ohio State. My opinion is that John will perform very well as a Hawkeye!
