CEDAR RAPIDS -- Brooke Foreman starred at Drake Stadium last May. That's where she'll spend her collegiate career.
Foreman, a state hurdling champion at Cedar Rapids Washington, has committed to compete in track and field at Drake University, Coach Frank Scherrman confirmed Wednesday.
Foreman was the Class 4A 400-meter hurdles champion as a junior, finishing in 1:02.62. That highlighted a meet in which she placed in four events. She was fourth in the 100 hurdles and the shuttle hurdle relay and fifth in the 400-meter relay.
Washington football player McCauley Todd has verbally committed to the University of Montana. The Grizzlies are a perennial FCS power who are in the semifinals after a 48-10 quarterfinal win over Northern Iowa.
Todd was a two-year starter at offensive tackle for the Warriors. Montana obviously was attracted by his size (6-foot-6, 260 pounds).
