C.R. Titans holding player tryouts on Super Sunday

Do you think you still have it? The local indoor football team is giving you the chance to prove it.
The Cedar Rapids Titans, set to begin their fourth Indoor Football League season Feb. 13 at the U.S. Cellular Center, announced Sunday they will be holding open tryouts at the club's practice facility inside the AirFX Trampoline Park in Hiawatha on Sunday, Feb. 1, the morning of the Super Bowl.
Registration begins at 7 a.m., with workout drills following at 8 a.m. The registration fee is $65.
Players on the current roster are expected to arrive in Cedar Rapids on Feb. 3, with training camp beginning Feb. 6.

TITANS ANNOUNCE 2015 TRYOUT DETAILS
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA: The Titans announced Monday information regarding open tryouts for the 2015 season. Tryouts will take place on Sunday, February 1st. The tryout will take place at the Titan's practice facility located inside AirFX Trampoline Park at 1100 N 18th Ave. in Hiawatha, IA. Registration and warm-up will begin at 7:00am with the tryout starting at 8:00am. Tryouts will be conducted by members of the Titans coaching staff including Titans head coach, Mark Stoute. Coach Stoute was named the 2013 Indoor Football League Coach of the Year and has led the Titans to two back to back United Conference Championship appearances.
The registration fee to tryout is $65 (cash or credit card only) and includes a t-shirt. Housing is available for players traveling in from out of town at the Microtel Inn & Suites 5500 Dyer Avenue in Marion, IA. The cost for housing is $25 per night and includes a continental breakfast.
Participants must be at least 18 years of age and be prepared to be evaluated in the following drills: 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle, bench press, four cone drill, standing broad jump, agility drills, position-specific drills and 7-on-7. Kickers will be evaluated on kickoff and field goal proficiency.
The Indoor Football League is a nationally recognized developmental league that has helped its players take their game to higher outdoor levels including the Canadian Football League and National Football League. Notable players that have moved up from the IFL to the NFL include WR Anthony Armstrong (Dallas Cowboys), DL Adrian Awasom (Minnesota Vikings), and Coe College alum RB Fred Jackson (Buffalo Bills).

The Titans 2015 home opener is Friday, February 13th at 7:05pm at Mediacom Field inside the US Cellular Center when the Titans welcome the IFL's 2014 Intense Conference Champion, the Nebraska Danger. There will be activities for the entire family including live music, live performances, autograph signings, giveaways, special guest appearances, and much more.
