Ugly Cake Contest draws a crowd at Johnson County Fair
IOWA CITY - Like all fairs, the Johnson County Fair being held this week has its share of award winning baked goods made by 4-Hers and adults.
But in Building C, not-s0-appetizing-looking cakes draw a crowd. This year's entrants in the Ugly Cake Contest include a dirty cat box, cow pies, a clogged toilet and a severed foot, among others.
Don't worry, they are all made out of food ingredients, but they do make passers-by take a second look.
The Johnson County Fair continues through Thursday at 4261 Oak Crest Hill Rd. SE, Iowa City. This is just off Highway 218 exit 89.
