Northside Bistro closes in Iowa City
Iowa City restaurant Northside Bistro has closed.
The eatery, which served an eclectic menu of dishes with international influences, had been open at 203 N. Linn St.
Owner Andy Diep posted on Facebook January 5 that the business was closed, writing his thanks for the opportunity to be part of the community. 'I am hoping the community continues to support Iowa farmers and small businesses for years to come,” he wrote. He did not respond to a call seeking further comment.
The restaurant opened in spring 2015. Diep also co-owns Konomi Grill, a sushi restaurant in Coralville's Iowa River Landing.
