Excellence in the Arts event recognizes outstanding student achievement in grades 9-12 throughout Eastern Iowa.

The Gazette launched Excellence in the Arts in 2023 to create an experience that would celebrate students making incredible contributions in the arts. This program includes telling the stories of student artists as well as those making an impact in the Eastern Iowa community.

A night of celebration is planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Theater Cedar Rapids. Join The Gazette, Hills Bank, Wired Productions, and Freund for a day recognizing nine talented student artists and two youth advocates doing incredible things in the arts community.
