Pints & Politics is a year-round gathering featuring The Gazette and special guests from across the state and party lines. National, state, and local issues are covered, with opportunities to zone in on the latest headlines.

Attendees participate in audience polls, submit questions, and enjoy time with some of their favorite journalists, columnists, and guests! This beloved event and lively conversation invite attendees to learn more about the issues impacting their community.

Mike's Bio: Mike Draper is the founder and owner of RAYGUN. Mike Draper not only puts his political opinions on shirts, he also says them out-loud to people whether they want to hear them or not. What’s more, he once testified before Congress about health care reform, and he works closely with political campaigns around Iowa and the Midwest for messaging and product -- in case you’re wondering what his actual political credentials are…. as if credentials matter in modern times. He lives in Des Moines (well, technically Windsor Heights, which is a sore subject) with his four kids and one wife and one dog and one cat.

Join The Gazette and Cedar Rapids Area Association of Realtors on June 19 for our next Pints & Politics event. This event from our year-long series will be held at The Olympic Southside Theater in Cedar Rapids, Iowa!

This event’s panel will include The Gazette’s Todd Dorman, Althea Cole, and Tom Barton! The Gazette’s Executive Editor, Zack Kucharski, will moderate the session.

Date/Time: Thursday, June 19th. Doors will open at 5:30 PM with the event following from 6-7:30 PM
