Submit your questions about this summer’s wildfire smoke
The Gazette will be answering reader inquiries about the smoky conditions and what they mean for Iowa

As hundreds of wildfires rage on in Canada this summer, Iowa and much of the northern U.S. have been plagued by varying levels of smoke.
Just this week, air quality dipped to “very unhealthy” levels in Cedar Rapids. The smoke was visible in the region, painting landscapes hazy. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources extended an air quality advisory from Wednesday to Friday in Eastern Iowa.
Wildfire smoke is likely to cloak the region again throughout the summer, meteorologists say, bringing health and ecological implications with it. You may have questions — and The Gazette would love to hear them.
Please submit your inquiries in the form below. We’ll try our best to answer as many as we can in a future story.
