Jim and Jackie Wallace of Mount Vernon, IA are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jamie, to Rik Smith, son of Marvin and Eileen Gentrup of West Point, NE, and the late Rick Smith.
Jamie is a graduate of Cornell College and the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine and is a resident physician in the Genesis Quad Cities Family Medicine Residency Program in Davenport, IA. Rik is a graduate of the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and is employed at Risius and Associates
Veterinary Service in Eldridge, IA.
The couple will exchange vows on August 6, 2011 at the Mount Vernon United Methodist Church.
