Mr. and Mrs. Larry Rustand of Cedar Rapids, announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Michelle Rustand to Matthew Lorenzo Vasquez, son of Mr. James Burrows and Ms. Elle Vasquez of Lisbon, IA.
The bride-to-be graduated from the University of Iowa in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts, and works for a nonprofit organization. She is pursuing her Master of Arts in Education.
The future groom graduated from Bowdoin College in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts, and earned a Masters of Social Work from the University of Iowa in 2010. He is pursuing a Doctorate in Social Work at the University of Iowa. He also works as a psychotherapist.
A June 2012 wedding is planned in Cedar Rapids.
