Powers - Ender

John 'Rick' and Sarah Powers of Arlington announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Frances Powers, to Sinclair Conrad Ender, both of Austin, TX. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Jim and Rosemary Powers, the late Harry Zuckerman, and the late Mary Frances Zuckerman. The prospective bridegroom is the son of William 'Bill' and Debra Ender of Cedar Rapids. He is the grandson of Richard C. 'Dick' and Leona Ender of Vinton, IA, and Delbert and Donna Ditch of Cedar Rapids.

The bride-elect graduated magna cum laude from Smith College in Northampton, Mass. with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Classics. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She is employed in the Stewardship and Development Office of the Diocese of Austin. The prospective bridegroom graduated cum laude from Concordia University Texas in Austin with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Psychology. He is employed as the Assistant Director of Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery in Georgetown, TX.

They plan to marry at 9 a.m. January 17, 2010, at St. Austin Catholic Parish, 2026 Guadalupe Street, Austin TX 78705, with a reception to follow at Ruby Ranch Lodge, Buda, Texas 78610.
