Mr. and Mrs. Terry McCarthy of Mason City announce the engagement of their daughter, Jillian Elizabeth to Robert Bruce Ernst, son of Juergen and Ellen Bruckner of Cedar Rapids and Bob and Diane Ernst of Estes Park, CO. Jillian graduated from UNI and works as a special education teacher at Wai'alae Elementary School in Honolulu. Bruce graduated from UNI and works as a military/political analyst for a private firm in Honolulu. The couple resides in Honolulu, Hawaii. A June 12th wedding is planned in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
