AKRON, IA - Mark and Michelle Heeren of Akron announce the engagement of their daughter, Tawnia Lexy Heeren, to Zachary Duncan Allyn, son of Bradley and Carmen Allyn of Shellsburg, IA.

Tawnia is a 2006 graduate of Allen College, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing; and currently working at St. Lukes Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Zach is employed at Sara Lee and is a full time student at Mount Mercy College, pursuing a Business Management & Marketing Degree.

A November 21, 2009, wedding is planned at St. Pius X in Cedar Rapids.
