Brian and Sharon Gardner of Cedar Rapids and Mark and Zoe Merritt of Minneapolis announce the engagement of their

children, Nicole Gardner and Benjamin

Merritt. Nicole received her bachelor's

degree in biology and biochemistry from Wartburg College and is currently working on her PhD in pharmacology at Creighton University. Benjamin also graduated from Wartburg College with a degree in biology and is currently working at Midwest Laboratories in Omaha as a chemical analyst. The couple is planning a July wedding.
