Conlin - Thursby

Michael Thursby and Sarah Lynn Conlin are pleased to announce their engagement.

Michael is the son of Mel and Deanna Thursby of Cedar Rapids. Sarah is the daughter of Dan Conlin of New Richmond, WI, and Shaun Conlin of Cottage Grove, MN.

A June 11, 2011, ceremony will be held at the Lutsen Resort on Lake Superior in northern Minnesota. Michael is a 2008 graduate of the University of Iowa, with a Bachelor's degree in music education and percussion. He received his Master's degree in percussion from UNI in 2010. Michael is currently the assistant band director in Grand Rapids, MN.

Sarah is a 2010 graduate of the University of Minnesota at Duluth, with a Bachelor's degree in teaching communication arts and literature. She is a special education teacher for the Grand Rapids School District.

Michael and Sarah are both alumni of the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps.
