Brecht - Schmit

Rachel Elisabeth Brecht and Zachary Curtis Schmit, both of Cedar Rapids, announce their engagement.

Rachel is the daughter of Ben and Dora Brecht of Marengo, IA. Zach is the son of Jeff Schmit of Waterloo, IA and Susan Schrage-Schmit of Coralville, IA.

Rachel's grandparents are Bernard and Marian Brecht of Marengo, and the late Evard and Marcella Montague of Norway, IA. Zach's grandparents are Darwin and Barb Schrage of West Union, IA, and Mary Lou Schmit and the late Edwin Schmit of Waterloo.

Rachel is employed by KCRG as an Account Executive. Zach is an Account Executive for Gazette Communications. Rachel is a 2007 graduate of Iowa State University and Zach is a 2006 graduate of Coe College.

Pastor Caleb Plumb will preside over the March 20th ceremony at New Covenant Bible Church in Cedar Rapids.
